Local government in Devon is changing. The Government has decided that from April 2028, four new unitary councils will replace Devon’s existing councils and will deliver all services in their areas (provisional names are being used to help describe the changes).

Future Devon brings you the latest information about local government reorganisation (LGR) in Devon and explains how we will work together to transition to these new councils.
